Vladimir Putin visits Mariupol

Vladimir Putin arrived in Mariupol by helicopter. He drove a car around several districts of the city, toured the coastline near a yacht-club, and visited a theatre and historic sites.

Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin Khusnullin MaratDeputy Prime Ministerreported to the President on the progress made in construction and repair work in the city and its suburbs. In particular: construction of new residential neighbourhoods, social and educational facilities, housing and utilities infrastructure, and medical institutions.

The President talked with local residents in the Nevsky micro-district. And visited the home of one of the families at their invitation.

Additionally, Vladimir Putin had a meeting at a command post of the special military operation in Rostov-on-Don. The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces listened to the reports of Chief of the General Staff of Russia's Armed Forces - First Deputy Minister of Defence Valery Gerasimov Gerasimov ValeryChief of the General Staff of Russia's Armed Forcesand a number of commanders.
