A Morning with Aldo Leopold, Goose Pond FWA

On Saturday, March 22nd, Goose Pond FWA will host a free community reading of 'A Sand County Almanac,' the seminal work of famed conservationist Aldo Leopold. First published in 1949, 'A Sand County Almanac' has prompted generations of people to take better notice-and care-of the natural environment.

Join us at the Goose Pond Visitors Center from 9:00-10:00 a.m. to listen to a few excerpts shared by staff and friends of the FWA while taking in the panoramic view of Goose Pond's wetland. Feel free to pick a favorite section from the book in advance if you'd like to step up and read! We will have extra copies of the book available to read along, as well as free coffee & tea.

DNR values inclusion and access for all participants and will provide reasonable accommodations for this event. Please contact Goose Pond at (812) 512-9185 or [email protected]to make an accommodation request. Requests must be submitted by March 15.
