Santa Rosa CityBus Launches New Website

Over the past several months Transit staff have been working closely with Sonoma County Transportation Authority and partner transit agency staff to design a new website for Santa Rosa CityBus as part of Sonoma County Transit Integration and Efficiency Study (TIES) implementation.

The new CityBus website is designed to provide a more user-focused experience in keeping with best practices and user expectations for content and organization of public transit agency websites to ultimately bring all three local bus systems, CityBus, Sonoma County Transit, and Petaluma Transit, onto the same platform. The new web design also integrates with transit scheduling software, enabling transit staff to update maps and schedules with the click of a button.

Key features on the new website will offer riders the ability to plan a trip on the website using the interactive route map that shows real-time arrivals and the exact position of the bus on the route. There is also a major upgrade to the information available regarding how to best use CityBus.

The new website www.SRCityBus.org is live, however, during this soft launch period, the CityBus website on the City of Santa Rosa platform will remain active, with redirects to the new website expected in early May.

A survey is available on the new website homepage asking for user feedback and ratings on the new website. The survey is a great way to communicate with Transit staff regarding missing information, or if a feature or tool is not functioning properly.
