BEIJING, Apr. 15 -- The 22nd Chinese Peacekeeping Level-1+ Hospital to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) donated medicine, medical consumables and other supplies to the border village of Dermimas and provided free medical assistance for the local people there on April 12, local time.

The border village has been suffering from the crossfire of frequent clashes between Lebanon and Israel, and essential medicines are unavailable all the year round. Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent brought the local villagers with more than 30 kinds of medicine, including hypotensive drugs, antibacterial medicine, gastrointestinal medicine, unguents and painkillers this time.

This is the third time that the Chinese peacekeeping medical contingent has donated medical supplies and provided free medical care to the Lebanese people since its deployment last December.
