Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 7250 Bellfort Avenue

April 18, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male found at 7250 Bellfort Avenue about 4:15 a.m. today.

The identity of the victim, believed to be 35 to 40 years of age, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives W. Huff and J. Nguyen reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a call of a deceased person at the above address and found the male unresponsive on the ground near a walking trail. He had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
