Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6800 North Sam Houston Parkway East

January 3, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6800 North Sam Houston Parkway East about 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday (January 2).

The identity of the victim, 24, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives M. Barton and A. Ledford reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to multiple 9-1-1 calls regarding a shooting at the above address and found a red Chrysler 300 stopped against a barrier of an exit ramp. The victim was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in the driver's seat. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased.

According to witnesses, a white pickup truck of unknown make or model was seen fleeing the scene. There is no known suspect description or motive in the shooting at this time.
