‘Technology Day on the Hill’ for Inola Students coming to RSU April 26

RSU's Technology Day on the Hill allows high school and other students to explore career options in the university's Department of Technology and Justice Studies. The last Technology Day on the Hill was held in February 2024. This event will be exclusive to seventh-grade students from Inola.

Rogers State University's Department of Technology and Justice will be hosting Inola students at an event designed to teach them about the university's technology and criminal justice-related programs.

Scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 26, "Inola Technology Day on the Hill" will be a day-long series of seminars for more than 80 seventh graders from Inola to learn about RSU's course offerings in the fields of technology and criminal justice.

"This event will be similar to the previous Technology Day on the Hill, with the main differences being that this one will be exclusively for students from Inola, and in addition to our sessions focused on technology, we'll be bringing in our criminal justice students to host a session on basic investigations," said STEM Outreach Coordinator Laci Henegar. "The reasoning behind this is that technology and justice studies are part of one department, so this allows us to share that aspect of what we offer at RSU with the visiting students."

The sessions will cover topics including AI (Artificial Intelligence) and coding, drones, and cybersecurity, with tips on basic investigations. All seminars cover RSU degrees and career prospects within the respective fields.
