Vantaa high schools prepare for the matriculation examination well in advance with the help of different methods even before the last junior high school year.

Johanna Blomstedt, principal of Helsinge gymnasium, says that her high school, among other things, arranges a mock matriculation examination for second-year students, so that they can practice for the actual examination.

It is natural that the students are nervous about the matriculation examination. Blomstedt reminds that, after all, the most important thing is that the students come to the exam as well rested as possible and remember that they cannot do anything but concentrate on the exam at that point. The principal also emphasizes the importance of believing in oneself.

- Try to make the most of the examination. It is worthwhile to take a break every now and then and reread what you have written. This way you can avoid unnecessary mistakes and carelessness.
