Subsidies for NGOs active in the field of asylum and migration

Proactiva Open Arms is a Spanish NGO involved in search and rescue operations at sea. The European Commission is believed to have granted this NGO EUR 1.44 million in subsidies in 2021.

This raises questions as to how many more non-profit organisations the Commission subsidises and the sums involved. And not just with regards to search and rescue, but follow-up and the provision of support, too.

In view of the above:

• 1.How many NGOs, active in the field of asylum and migration, has the European Commission subsidised since 2015?
• 2.How many euros has the Commission granted to such initiatives since 2015?
