Rep. Grant Statement on HB2412

The statement below was released by State Representative Amy Grant following the House Republican Caucus placing a unified "present" vote on the last minute Election Omnibus bill (HB2412) brought forward by Illinois Democrats.

"I voted present on HB2412 because it is another example of the abuse Illinois politicians bring to our sacred legislative process within the Statehouse," said Grant. "The majority party should be ashamed of filing last minute legislation that completely lacks transparency and wreaks of self-serving political corruption. Rather than filing bills that serve lawmakers' partisan political agendas, the House of Representatives needs to realign our priorities with keeping families healthy, neighborhoods safe, and taxes low."
