BCPP weakens after 2 weeks of growth, PX index at 1,365.03 pts

Prague, Nov 10 (CTK) - The Prague Stock Exchange (BCPP) weakened during the week, having risen for the previous two weeks, and the headline PX index fell by 1.22 percent to 1,365.03 points, the bourse said on its website.

Pharmacy chain Pilulka weakened the most, while Czech bank Moneta Money Bank posted the largest profit.

In the previous week, the BCPP grew by 2.3 percent.

"The index ended in the red during all five sessions of the week," Wood & Company broker Lukas Novotny said. Most of the listings were trading in negative territory, he added.

Pilulka closed the week 6.35 percent weaker at Kc280 per unit.

Komercni banka declined by 3.19 percent to Kc668, while Austria's Erste lost 1.93 percent to Kc825.

Solar power plant builder Photon Energy saw a drop of 1.19 percent to Kc50 per unit.

Shares in tobacco company Philip Morris depreciated by 1.1 percent to Kc16,120.

Energy group CEZ weakened by 1.01 percent to Kc979.50. "The company announced better-than-expected third-quarter results on Thursday but also kept its full-year net profit estimate at Kc33-37bn due to a higher windfall tax," Novotny said.

In contrast, Moneta gained 0.33 percent to Kc90.80.

Austrian insurer VIG added 0.16 percent to Kc631 apiece.
