Vehicle Sought in a Homicide: 2700 Block of 30th Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch are seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle in reference to a homicide that occurred on Saturday, September 24, 2022, in the 2700 block of 30th Street, Southeast.

At approximately 11:39 am, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the members located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

The decedent has been identified as 62-year-old Arthur Harrison, Jr., of Southeast, DC.

The vehicle, pictured below, is described as a white Kia Optima sedan. It was last seen bearing an Ohio license plate of JAU 3816

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for each homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
