SLC Agrícola has an outstanding participation in South Summit Brazil 2024

SLC Agrícola had an outstanding participation in the third edition of South Summit Brazil, one of the largest global meetings of companies, startups and investors, held in Porto Alegre (RS) on March 20, 21 and 22. The company, through its innovation movement - Horizonte SLC - and as one of the sponsors, had an exhibition booth together with SLC Máquinas.

Aurélio Pavinato, CEO of SLC Agrícola, gave the lecture "Regenerative and Digital Agriculture," held on the last day of the event, at Arena Stage. In his widely applauded participation, Pavinato outlined the main challenges of agribusiness to feed an increasingly growing global population. Furthermore, he presented some of the technologies the company employs on its farms to increase productivity and reduce costs, always focused on the environment.

On March 21, in partnership with Innoscience, a corporate innovation consulting firm, the Innovation and Strategy Specialist, Daniele Lopes, and the Sustainability Specialist, Vanessa Rosa, debated the topic "Leveraging the Power of Intrapreneurship with Generative AI". On that same day, the Ecosystem Leader, Carlos Eduardo Aranha, and the Environmental and Quality Coordinator, Paula Silvério, discussed the topic "Using Technology for a Greener Tomorrow."

At the company's booth, innovations that SLC Agrícola promotes at its farms and headquarters were presented. The Digital Agriculture Department showed how is the work of the Agricultural Intelligence Center (CIA), which monitors the operation of the farms. Also, in great demand was the virtual reality goggles, which showed the user what a farm looks like from the inside, in various sectors, such as Cotton Mill, cotton grading process and crop.

Another highlight was the reproduction of the Urban Farm that SLC Agrícola has at Caldeira Institute, with its own technology for planting indoors. The company also distributed to the participants seedlings of species native to the state of Rio Grande do Sul, as well as other gifts.
