(28/12/2021) the inspectors of the Consumer Protection Directorate at the Ministry of Economy and Trade undertook inspection patrols

As a follow up to the decisions taken by the Higher Council of Defense, the inspectors of the Consumer Protection Directorate at the Ministry of Economy and Trade undertook inspection patrols supported by General Security officers on food companies.
And subsequently, the inspectors drew up seizure reports against the offending companies for increasing prices unduly in order to make huge illegal profits.
To this end, the Ministry stresses that the inspection patrols on food companies and retail points will be pursued in order to control violations regarding the increase in the goods' prices, especially the food items and essential commodities.
