City of Valdosta Announces Road Detours for Atlanta Gas Upgrade Project

The City of Valdosta is pleased to announce a significant infrastructure upgrade project in the West Street neighborhood between River Street and Gordon Street. Atlanta Gas Light aims to enhance the safety and reliability of our community's gas service mains.

Commencing shortly, the construction work is anticipated to span several weeks. To facilitate the project, traffic detours will be in place to ensure the smooth progression of the upgrade and to safeguard the well-being of residents and workers alike.

The streets impacted by the upgrade project include: West Street, Mills Street, Lamar Street, Monroe Street, Peeples Street, Canal Street, 3rd Avenue, 2nd Avenue, Johnson Street, and 1st Street.
