Ku-ring-gai Library to host Jelena Dokic, Julie Goodwin & Grantlee Kieza
Ku-ring-gai Council is proud to announce an exciting line up of renowned personalities set to grace Ku-ring-gai Library's event stage in April 2024, including tennis legend Jelena Dokic, MasterChef winner Julie Goodwin and acclaimed journalist Grantlee Kieza.
Jelena Dokic, celebrated tennis champion and bestselling author of Unbreakable, will be sharing insights from her latest book, Fearless, which explores themes of resilience and empowerment.
Julie Goodwin, the beloved winner of Australia's first MasterChef season, will unveil her deeply personal memoir, Your Time Starts Now, offering readers a candid glimpse into her life's triumphs and struggles.
Grantlee Kieza, acclaimed journalist and author of Sister Viv, will present a riveting account of Australian Army nurse Vivian Bullwinkel's extraordinary courage and resilience during World War II. Kieza's narrative delves into Bullwinkel's harrowing survival of a wartime massacre and her lifelong dedication to serving others.
"These events mark Council's ongoing commitment to bringing nationally recognised talent to the local audience," said Mayor Sam Ngai.
"Their remarkable stories and achievements resonate with audiences of all backgrounds, enriching our community with inspiration and insight," he said.
