Volunteer Spotlight: Tim Slaughter

Get to know a little more about this month's Volunteer Spotlight: Tim Slaughter!

Where are you from?

I was born in Nebraska. I spent my young adulthood mostly in Arkansas, then moved around a lot as an adult. I spent the largest block of time in Boston and the latest place I lived was in San Francisco.

How did you end up in Northwest Arkansas?

I was looking for a comfortable, but engaging, place to retire.

What have you most enjoyed about being a volunteer at Crystal Bridges?

Greeting visitors. All are happy to be here and I can help welcome them and share some very positive moments.

What's your favorite artwork or space at Crystal Bridges and/or the Momentary?

There are so many. I do find Jim Dine's Walking to Boras always makes me smile.

What do you do to relax?

Bike. Read. Dine out when not staying distanced.

What would an ideal day in Northwest Arkansas look like for you?

Walk or bike with friends.

What's your secret super skill?

Keeping my secrets secret.

If you had three wishes, what would they be?

End this viral oppression.
Seeing my kids on either coast.
More time to prioritize wishes.
