Pearland Parks and Recreation Invites You to Read Their FY2023 Annual Report

Pearland Parks & Recreation released its 2023 Annual Report on February 21, 2024 highlighting the department's unwavering commitment to creating exceptional experiences for the community through a diverse range of services, programs, and events. The report showcases the department's measurement of performance in areas such as event attendance, program registration, facility/athletic field utilization, volunteerism, memberships, and community engagement.

In recognition of outstanding achievements, the Annual Report acknowledges Pearland Parks & Recreation reception of several accolades, including the 2023 Organization Award from the Texas Children in Nature Network, the 2023 Park Development Innovation Award from the Texas Recreation and Park Society, and the 2023 Photography Award, also from the Texas Recreation and Park Society.

Elevating its status among elite agencies nationwide, the City of Pearland achieved accreditation for the third time from the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). This accreditation reaffirms Pearland's commitment to maintaining high standards in park and recreation services.

The Annual Report also features an extensive list of partnerships with program and event collaborators, sponsors, volunteer groups, and other stakeholders who played a pivotal role in advancing the department's vision and making a positive impact on the Pearland community throughout 2023.

Additionally, Pearland Parks and Recreation underscores its commitment to public safety by conducting training in three primary types of emergency response.

With 547 Parkland Acres and all accompanying amenities to maintain, Parks Crews supported 28 internal and external events, 11 tournaments, investing over 5,350 staff hours to provide exceptional customer service.
