Seventh Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee

At the sitting held on 5 December 2022, the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee considered the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Hungary on Friendly Relations and Cooperation in the Field of Strategic Partnership, submitted by the Government.

The Bill was presented by Goran Gvozdenovic, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who said that in view of the mutually expressed interest to raise the overall bilateral cooperation to the level of strategic partnership and the fact that the bilateral relations are at an all-time high, on 8 September 2022, the Republic of Serbia and Hungary signed the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Hungary on Friendly Relations and Cooperation in the Field of Strategic Partnership at the Six Joint Session of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of Hungary, in Budapest.

The Committee proposed that the National Assembly accept the Bill.

The Committee went on to consider the Bill on the Confirmation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary on Employment of Family Members of Diplomatic, Consular and Administrative-Technical Staff, submitted by the Government.

Following its presentation, he Committee proposed that the National Assembly accept the Bill.

The Committee members also noted the regular activities of the standing delegations, adopted reports on contacts realised, as well as noted the realised parliamentary and other contacts.
