Feb. 14 Police Chase/Arrest

On the morning of 02/14/2022 around 2:40 AM, Seagoville Communications received radio communications from the TXDPS helicopter of a vehicle pursuit entering into Seagoville. Officers from the Ft Worth PD and Dallas County Sheriff's Department deputies were actively pursuing a stolen Dodge pickup into the City. Seagoville Police Officers were requested to provide assistance and did so. DSO had previously deployed tire deflation devices on the fleeing pickup, although this pickup continued the attempt to evade at low speed. DSO deputies were able to deploy additional tire deflation devices on the pickup within the City. The fleeing pickup came to a stop in the 700 block of the EB access road of US Highway 175.

Once stopped, the occupants of the stolen truck surrendered and were taken into custody by law enforcement officers without further incident. The driver, an adult female, and the passenger, an adult male, were subsequently arrested and transported by DSO deputies to the Dallas County Jail. The stolen pickup was impounded by DSO.

This event caused a larger than normal law enforcement presence in the City and may have caused alarm to some citizens. No persons were injured and no local private property was damaged as a result of this event. There is no lingering public safety concern from this overnight event.
