Traffic Advisory Calaveras County 4/18/24

Highway Lane Closures
State Routes 4, 26 & 49

Calaveras County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures on State Route 4 (SR-4), SR-26 and SR-49 for maintenance and construction operations. Work to occur as follows;

State Route 4

  • Intermittent traffic breaks (10-minutes) from Bonanza Mine to Appaloosa Road for construction beginning Monday, April 22, through Friday, April 26, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Douglas Flat/Main Street to Anrey Court for utility work on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

State Route 26

  • Long-term one-way traffic control at South Fork Mokelumne River Bridge for bridge/guardrail work through Sunday, June 30, 2024.
  • Long term one-way traffic control at North Fork Mokelumne River Bridge for bridge/guardrail work through Sunday, June 30, 2024.

State Route 49

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control from Centennial Road to Route 4 South for utility work beginning Sunday, April 21, through Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Centennial Road to Ramorini Lane for utility work beginning Wednesday, April 24, through Friday, April 26, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect five to 10-minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
