Golden Gate Ferry Sausalito Service Update

Golden Gate Ferry service between Sausalito and San Francisco remains suspended while repairs are made to the Sausalito pier. Work on the pier is expected to be complete and ferry service is expected to resume later this week. Replacement Golden Gate Transit bus service is being provided for all suspended Sausalito ferry trips during this time.

During a routine inspection on Friday, April 19, damage was discovered on one of the pier's pylons. Out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of our customers, all Sausalito ferry service was suspended until repairs to the pier could be made. Work began to repair the pylon over the weekend and is expected to be complete in the coming days. Once the work is complete, the pier will be reinspected for safety before opening.
