"I have voted for two bills in the past to support our allies in Israel, and I would have liked to vote for this bill, but it contains billions of dollars in aid that could end up in the hands of Hamas."

On his vote against H.R. 8035, the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, Rep. Burchett released the following statement:

"I have said many times that the United States has already sent Ukraine nearly $114 billion in aid, and Europe should take the reigns."

On his vote against H.R. 8036, the Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, Rep. Burchett released the following statement:

"I support countering the Chinese Communist Party, but this bill is designated as emergency funding where there isn't an immediate emergency. This should go through the normal appropriations process instead."
