The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of Mexico, congratulates José Raúl Mulino Quintero on his victory in the presidential election held in the Republic of Panama on Sunday, May 5.

Mexico welcomes the civil and peaceful election made possible by the democratic spirit of the Panamanian people.

Mexico reiterates its interest in continuing to deepen the ties of solidarity and cooperation with the people of Panama, with whom we share cultural and friendly ties, and with whom we are celebrating the 120th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

We are convinced that by working together we will achieve the regional integration that will benefit our societies.
