Fatal Collision #12/2024, Bayview Avenue at Don Valley Parkway Off Ramp

The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance with a fatal motor vehicle collision investigation.

On Monday April 8, 2024, at approximately 9:25 a.m., police received a report of a personal injury collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist on Bayview Avenue at the Don Valley Parkway off ramp.

It is reported that:

• a 38-year old man was operating a motor vehicle, a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport, exiting the Don Valley Parkway to proceed northbound on Bayview Avenue
• a 59-year-old male cyclist was riding northbound on Bayview Avenue
• the two collided causing the cyclist to fall and causing significant injuries

The cyclist was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The investigation is ongoing by members of Traffic Services.

Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
