During the meeting the sides discussed prospects for expanding trade and economic relations with Kenya.
The Head of State emphasized that Kenya is of particular interest for the development of cooperation as one of the prosperous countries on the African continent.
- I am following the development of your country, economic and foreign policy, and I am ready to make joint efforts to bring the Kazakh-Kenyan cooperation to a new level, - the President noted.
In turn, William Ruto invited Kazakh companies to actively invest in the Kenyan economy, including to consider the possibility of expanding the port of Mombasa by building a grain terminal.
President Tokayev informed his Kenyan counterpart about the intention to send a trade mission to Kenya to explore potential opportunities to strengthen cooperation.
The Head of State also emphasized the importance of interaction with African states both at the bilateral level and within multilateral organizations, first of all within the UN framework.
The Head of State invited William Ruto to visit Kazakhstan next year and take part in the upcoming Astana International Forum.
