READOUT: Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen’s Meeting with Asian Development Bank President Masatsugu Asakawa

WASHINGTON - Today, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen had a pull aside with Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masatsugu Asakawa on the sidelines of the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings. Secretary Yellen conveyed the United States's strong support for the ADB and commended President Asakawa's leadership in advancing ADB's climate ambition and building support for Pacific Island States. Secretary Yellen raised Treasury's priorities for multilateral development bank (MDB) evolution and outlined steps ADB can take to further private capital mobilization and address procurement challenges.
