The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public's assistance finding a man wanted in an assault investigation.

On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at approximately 12:09 p.m., police responded to a call for an assault in the Bloor Street West and Islington Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

  • the victim and the suspect were waiting for the subway train on the eastbound platform of the Islington Subway Station
  • the suspect, suddenly and without provocation, punched the victim in the face
  • the victim and the suspect are not known to each other

The victim attended a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Jeffrey Lovell, 42, of Toronto, is wanted for:

  1. Assault

Images have been released.

He is considered violent. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
