Waitakere Central Library - April School Holiday Secrets Under the sea

Robogal Workshop Sat 13 April 10:30am-12:30pm

Robogals is an international organisation run by university students who are passionate about STEM. If you also think STEM is cool or would like to know more about it, then come join us!! No prior experience necessary. This workshop is suitable for Children between 8 and 12 years old. A Laptop or Chromebook will be provided, or you can bring your own if you have one.

Learn what's under the Wharf with Kelly Tarlton's team. Wed 17 April, 10:30am-11:30am.

Join us and discover what lies beneath the Wharf! The team at Kelly Tarlton's is thrilled to share their knowledge of Tīkapa moana with you. They'll explore the creatures inhabiting the rocky shores to the depths of the ocean floor! Prepare to be amazed by fascinating facts and real artifacts, from penguin feathers that provide warmth to Kororā, to shark jaws specialized for hunting their prey! Don't miss out on this FREE event! Suitable for ages 5 and above. No registration is required.

Calling all Pirates, Mermaids, Sea Explorers and more! Join Brain Play to see 3D printers in action and create your very own design! Brain Play team will teach you about 3D printers, CAD design, and you'll have the chance to create your very own print that we will produce for you in the coming weeks. Mini Connect4 Workshop & Tournment Fri 19 April 2pm-3pm

Quick! Take a Guess! How many moves do you think Connect 4 has? This school holiday we will host our first ever Connect 4 tournament. You will learn HOW to win Connect 4. Followed by a tournament to find out who is the BEST Connect 4 player. Suitable for all ages.

D&D:Secrets under the sea Sat 20 April 12pm-3pm

Join us for an under the sea themed Dungeons and Dragons session focused on finding out the secrets! Pre-generated character sheets and dice will be provided. New and experienced players welcome! Ages 12+. Spaces are very limited, first come first serve.

Luna in the Forest Creative Workshop Mon 22 April 10am-11:30am

Come and meet the author of "LUNA IN THE FOREST" in a creative drawing workshop with our community. There will be storytelling and engaging activities, where the children will be encouraged to din their uniqueness, wile understanding that we are all different and amazing!
