Spongy Moth Treatment

Very Hungry Caterpillars Have Emerged! The City of Middleton Forestry Department will begin Spongy Moth suppression.

Weather permitting, the first application of BtK for control of spongy moth will occur on Friday, May 17, 2024 The application will be done with a helicopter. Spraying will take place starting at 6:00 A.M. and last for about an hour. Areas sprayed are safe for use once any spray that reaches the ground is dried, so please keep your pets inside during this time.

Note: A low flying helicopter is used for application, it is not necessary to report it to the police department or airport.
