GenNext 911

GenNext 911 is a free educational program that allows high school juniors and seniors to increase their knowledge of the day-to-day activities of first responders and public safety employees. The program will provide opportunities for hands-on learning and demonstrations, which are designed to promote interest in a police or firefighter career.

June 10-11, 2024 from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM

  • Lima Police Department - Take a tour of the police station; spend the day with dispatch, patrol, investigation/detectives; and check out the specialty teams including SWAT, and K-9 units.
  • Lima Fire Department - Participate in fire demonstrations; learn more about EMT and fire investigation; and go on a tour of the fire station including interacting with the trucks and ambulances.

Enrollment is open to high school juniors and seniors who reside in the City of Lima. An adult must register the youth using the online registration form.
