Prime Minister Marin and European Commissioner Sinkevičius meet at Kesäranta

On Tuesday 4 May, Prime Minister Sanna Marin met with European Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries Virginijus Sinkevičius at Kesäranta. Commission Member Jutta Urpilainen also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, they discussed Finland's views and objectives concerning EU climate policy, forestry policy and biodiversity issues. During his two-day visit, Commissioner Sinkevičius met with several members of the Government, visited Lahti, the European Green Capital for 2021, and familiarised himself extensively with Finland's sustainable forestry.
