HE Capital Governor chairs the Coordinating Council meeting

His Excellency Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa affirmed that the governorate would remain vigilant in monitoring the needs and complaints of the people in the district and working with relevant authorities to assist in finding appropriate solutions and meeting their demands to achieve sustainable development and provide the best services.

He highlighted that while charging the virtual meeting of the Coordinating Council in the presence of representatives of concerned authorities. The attendees followed up on the most prominent needs in the governorate, which were observed during field visits by public affairs teams.

According to the Coordinating Council, unlicensed barns must be removed from residential neighbourhoods, farms and barns must not be built without licenses from competent authorities, and slaughtering and skinning livestock must be prohibited.

The Council discussed the problem of neglected or abandoned cars, which showed that despite the efforts made by the competent authorities to eradicate this problem, the problem persists.

The council examined the issue of illegal sidewalks being used for parking vehicles, street vendors, or setting up restaurant restrooms, which affect the water and electricity services beneath them. As a result, the Council recommends reducing sidewalk exploitation.

Several citizens complained about the need to protect the marine environment and clean the coast, which led the council to follow up on a report by the Inquiries and Complaints Unit.
