City of West Hollywood to Ring in 2024 with an Alcohol- and Drug-Free New Year’s Eve Event: VIBEZ – A Sober New Year Celebration

This New Year's Eve, celebrate and ring-in the new year at VIBEZ: A Sober New Year Celebration, West Hollywood's premier alcohol- and drug-free New Year's Eve experience. Co-sponsored by the City of West Hollywood and organized by The Phoenix and the Institute for Public Strategies (IPS), this year's VIBEZ celebration will bring hundreds of people together for a fabulous celebration and a sober midnight toast.

Join in the fun in your shiniest, most intergalactic outfits in honor of this year's theme: Alien Superstar. The event will be hosted by drag queen mamasita Salinas EsTitties and DJ Michael Ian music will mix-up the music. There will be drag entertainment, dancing, and light refreshments, as well as fun wellness activities such as tarot and palm readings, psychics, star-charting, and more. The event will provide a safe space for the sober community and allies to celebrate New Year's Eve with others in recovery, away from substance-heavy events and parties that typically mark New Year's Eve holiday celebrations.

VIBEZ: A Sober New Year Celebration will take place on the evening of Sunday, December 31, 2023 beginning at 8:30 p.m. and it will run until 12:30 a.m. on Monday, January 1, 2024, at Fiesta Hall at Plummer Park, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard. VIBEZ is free and open to attendees 18 or older. Advance RSVP is encouraged, due to limited capacity. RSVP at https://tinyurl.com/2xbeznxu.

VIBEZ attendees are encouraged to be respectful of the neighboring residential area when arriving and leaving the event. Limited parking will be available in the north (N. Vista Avenue entrance near Fountain Avenue) and south (Santa Monica Boulevard entrance) parking lots at Plummer Park. Alternatively, attendees may take The PickUp to the event with stops at Greenacre and at Vista along Santa Monica Boulevard.

The PickUp, the City's fun, flirtatious, and free weekend ride, will provide service on New Year's Eve (December 31) starting at 2 p.m. through 3 a.m. on New Year's Day Morning (January 1). Each weekend The PickUp runs along Santa Monica Boulevard on Friday and Saturday nights from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., and runs on certain holidays, such as New Year's Eve. The PickUp carries people safely to and from entertainment venues in and around the City's Rainbow District and Center City and Eastside areas. For details, please visit www.wehopickup.com.
