Agriculture ministers meet ahead of Council

On 23 January, ALDE Party and Renew Europe co-hosted a meeting of Ministers from our political family in Brussels ahead of the Agriculture and Fisheries (AGRIFISH) Council of the European Union.

During the meeting chaired by Morten Løkkegaard MEP(Venstre, DK), Ministers discussed items on the Council's agenda such as trade relations with Ukraine, strategic dialogue on the future of agriculture, forest monitoring framework and the Soil Monitoring Law.

Participants included:

  • Jacob Jensen, Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries (Venstre, DK)
  • Eva Knez, State Secretary for Agriculture, Forestry and Food, (Gibanje Svoboda!, SI)

  • Atidzhe Alieva-Veli MEP(MRF, BG), Member of the European Parliament Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI)
  • Asger Christensen MEP(Venstre, DK), Member of the European Parliament Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI)
  • Martin Hlavaček MEP(ANO 2011, CZ), Renew Europe Deputy Coordinator in the European Parliament Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI)
