Jones Boulevard Improvements From Lone Mountain Road
To Horse Drive Planned April 1-July 9, 2024

Repaving Operations Will Limit Jones To One Lane In Each Direction

Starting Monday, April 1, and continuing through Friday, July 9, 2024, road construction on Jones Boulevard between Lone Mountain Road and Horse Drive will require that traffic be generally restricted to one lane both north- and southbound on Jones. Lane restrictions will remain in place 24 hours until the project is completed. Work hours will be Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Primary work activities will include lowering of utilities, milling, paving, installation of traffic signal loop detectors, raising of utilities and installation of delineation. Milling and paving operations will be performed for approximately five weeks out of the 14-week period, subject to weather and equipment availability. Torrey Pines Drive or Decatur Boulevard are recommended as alternate routes for north- and southbound traffic.

Preliminary work already was completed, consisting of improvements to the sidewalk areas to meet federal requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act, including the reconstruction of concrete cross gutter, curb and gutter. Las Vegas Paving is the contractor. The city of Las Vegas is managing the project. The estimated cost of the work is $ 4.2 million, provided by the Federal Highway Administration and matched with Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax funds.
