Willkie advised Platinum Equity in connection with a comprehensive financing agreement for its portfolio company Aventiv Technologies, a communications and technology business serving the incarcerated, their friends and family, and state and local correctional facilities.
On March 28, Aventiv Technologies announced that it reached an agreement with Platinum Equity, its financial sponsor, and 100% of its lender group to extend Aventiv's debt maturities, reduce cash interest expense, and inject new capital into the business.
Founded in 1995 by Tom Gores, Platinum Equity is a global investment firm with approximately $47 billion of assets under management and a portfolio of approximately 50 operating companies.
The Willkie team was led by partners Cristopher Greer, Joshua Deason and Jason Pearl and included partner Debra Sinclair, counsel Michael Wolynski, associates Erin Ryan, Chetan Tripathy, Adam Lorenzana and Rui Ma, and law clerk Cameron Cavalier.
