A Bike Skills Park is a purpose-built facility for all types of bicycles, including BMX, mountain, dirt jump, pedal-less bikes, and more. The parks are designed to give riders of all ages and skill levels the ability to get outdoors and safely improve their bike riding skills.
The feasibility study continues the investigation on the potential of Bike Skills Park for the City. The study encompasses stakeholder engagement, site preference, partnership opportunities, phasing options, operational impacts, and more. The study will provide Council with additional information for their considerations on this project.
"Engaging the community and collecting their feedback is important as it will help inform and shape this study," said Shiela Gagnon, Recreation Development Coordinator for the City of Fort Saskatchewan.
The City is looking to gather insights and preferences from the community regarding the potential of developing this amenity, site location and feature considerations. Residents can participate in the engagement process through the following channels:
