PUBLIC NOTICE
LAS 35015
James Wingerter, dba Alaska Worldwide LLC.
Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: James Wingerter, dba Alaska Worldwide LLC.
PROJECT NAME: LAS 35015
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:
This site is located approximately 70 miles northeast of Galena, 42 miles northeast of Ruby, and 80 miles northwest of Tanana along the Melozitna River. See attached map.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Section 3, Township 3 South, Range 20 East, Kateel River Meridian
Latitude: 65.2605 N Longitude: 154.7548 W Datum: WGS84
REQUESTED ACTIVITY:
James Wingerter, dba Alaska Worldwide LLC, applied for a land use permit for the use of a base camp to provide clients lodging and the opportunity for fishing, hiking, photographing, recreational gold panning, bird and wildlife watching, river rafting and other legal activities. The base camp consists of a 12'x16' cabin, 8'x8' tool shed and pit privy. The site would be used May through October for commercial services.
REQUESTED TERM: 5 years
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: May 14, 2024 by 5PM
The public is invited to comment on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. Questions concerning this activity or requests to view the full application packet should be directed to Jim Wessel, Telephone: 907-451-2777; Fax: 907-451-2751 or e-mail: [email protected].
After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
