Queens resident arrested for Leandra’s Law Driving While Intoxicated

Staten Island, New York - On Sunday, November 12, 2023, troopers from SP Rockaways arrested Dario J. Gomez Lozano, age 33, of Queens, New York, for Driving While Intoxicated with a Child - a class E felony.

The troopers were patrolling the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Nissan Maxima, operated by Gomez Lozano, for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. The investigation revealed Gomez Lozano to be impaired by alcohol with a child in the vehicle, and he was subsequently arrested.

Gomez Lozano was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child and remanded to Richmond County Central Booking pending arraignment.
