Lebanon – Medical aid sent for those being assisted by the voluntary organization Chevaliers de l’Ordre de Malte in Lebanon and the NGO Amel (9 May 2024)

On Thursday 9 May the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, through its Crisis and Support Centre, delivered nearly two tonnes of medicines to Lebanon to meet emergency and general - especially paediatric - medical needs. These medicines are being provided by the voluntary organization Tulipe and its member healthcare companies. The French Embassy will hand these medical kits to the voluntary organization Chevaliers de l'Ordre de Malte in Lebanon and the Lebanese NGO Amel.

In response to the institutional, economic and security crisis Lebanon is going through, France continues to support the Lebanese people, particularly in the health, education and food-security sectors. It is also mobilized to help Lebanon's institutions get back up and running and to prevent a conflagration in the region.

In conjunction with its partners, France will continue to stand at Lebanon's side, as it has always done.
