Mr. Ankhbayar Nyamdorj, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs meets Mr. Matteo Mecacci, Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights[...]

In order to identify new opportunities of cooperation the delegation headed by Mr. Matteo Mecacci, Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) paid a visit to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from 16 to 18 November, 2023.

Mr. Ankhbayar Nyamdorj, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met with Mr. Matteo Mecacci, and exchanged views on ongoing Mongolia-OSCE relations and cooperation.

During the meeting both sides expressed satisfaction with the development of the Mongolian national laws and legislation in the area of democracy, election system, human rights and expressed their willingness to further strengthen cooperation.

ODIHR is tasked with assisting participating States in meeting their commitments in the field of human rights and democracy. To this effect, ODIHR observes elections, promotes and monitors respect for human rights, and runs democracy assistance projects throughout the OSCE region.
