Sparks, Nevada - The City of Sparks Fire Department will host its 33rd Annual Pancake Breakfast on September 30, 2023, from 8 a.m. to noon at Fire Station 1, 1605 Victorian Avenue.
The pancake breakfast includes live kitchen fire demonstrations, jaws of life vehicle extractions, fire safety trailer exhibits, station tours, and educational displays. Children are invited to participate in the junior firefighter challenges and get their picture taken with "Sparky" the fire dog.
Mayor Ed Lawson, Sparks City Councilmembers, firefighters, and staff will be on hand to cook and serve pancakes, sausage, eggs, juice, milk, and coffee.
Thanks to a generous donation from NV Energy, the cost of this year's pancake breakfast has been reduced.
Sparks Fire will ask for a $5 donation from the general public and children under 12 and seniors aged 62 and older are free. Funds generated help support local community public fire safety education programs.
Additional parking is available at 247 15thStreet.
