5/9/24 Aggravated Battery with a Firearm
(PEORIA, IL) Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at approximately 11:15 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 800 block of W. Thrush regarding multiple Shot Spotter alerts totaling 38 rounds fired.
While en route officers were informed that an adult male victim was being transported to a local hospital by private vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was shot inside the residence and sustained serious injuries.
Members of the Peoria Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
During a search of the area, officers located multiple shell casings outside the residence.
Currently, there is no suspect information. This incident is under investigation.
