Abazović takes part in the 9th UNAOC Global Forum in Fez

Prime Minister Dritan Abazović is participating in the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations 9th Global Forum (UNAOC) in Fez.

Abazović was welcomed at the Forum in Fez by H.E. Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco and Under-Secretary-General H.E. Mr. Miguel Angel Moratinos, the High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.

The Forum, which is being held under the theme Towards an Alliance of Peace: Living Together as One Humanity, brings together official delegations representing the UNAOC Group of Friends, political leaders, representatives of international and regional organizations, religious leaders, faith actors, youth, representatives of the private sector, civil society, academia, arts, sports and media, as well as donor agencies and foundations, to engage in a robust exchange of innovative ideas on a wide range of global issues that our world is facing today.

The primary mission of UNAOC is to forge collective political will and to mobilize concerted action at improving cross-cultural dialogue and cooperation among countries, peoples and communities in order to prevent conflict and promote social cohesion.

Montenegro's participation in the 9th UNAOC Global Forum shows the commitment and importance that Montenegro attaches to the values of international peace and security, togetherness, solidarity and tolerance, but also to addressing challenges and phenomena such as violent extremism, terrorism and hate speech.
