League City Responds to Deer Park Tornado

This week, the City of League City assisted the Cities of Deer Park and Pasadena in the aftermath of the EF-3 tornado that impacted their communities on Tuesday afternoon. The Office of Emergency Management organized a damage assessment team made up of representatives from League City, Seabrook, Friendswood, and La Porte. In coordination with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), these teams conducted assessments of the damaged areas to identify impacts to infrastructure, residences, businesses, and City-owned property; develop plans for debris removal; identify unmet needs of residents, and more.

In addition, League City Public Works staff assisted with recovery by sending a crew with a grapple truck and dump truck to Deer Park to help with debris removal on Thursday.
