ARLINGTON, Va. - A new study released today by the Consumer Brands Association reveals the unparalleled economic impact of the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry in Pennsylvania. Conducted by PwC, the research highlights the CPG sector as a major manufacturing employer in the Keystone State. The industry supports more than one million jobs in the state, which is more than three times the population of Pittsburgh, and contributes $111.8 billion to the state's economy, which is enough money to build nearly 400 Acrisure Stadiums (formerly Heinz Field).
"The CPG industry is a cornerstone of Pennsylvania's economy," said John Hewitt, senior vice president of state affairs at Consumer Brands.
