Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) will host job fairs on Saturday, Feb. 4 and Saturday, Feb. 25, where PRM staff will share information on current and upcoming job openings for Recreation Program Leaders.

"This job fair is a great opportunity for those seeking employment to meet our Parks Department staff and leadership and learn more about our Recreation Programs," said Mayor Rex Richardson. "This is just one of many employment opportunities offered across our City departments."

The job fairs will include information on a wide range of PRM programs that are currently hiring or will start hiring soon within the Community Recreation Services Bureau. These programs include Day Camps, Youth Sports, Older Adults, Teens, Mobile Recreation and Virtual Recreation. Applicants can view information about the positions and complete an application prior to the event on the PRM Job Opportunities webpage. Applications will also be available at the job fairs. Those interested in job opportunities are encouraged to come by and meet PRM supervisors and staff and learn what a day in the life of a Long Beach Recreation Leader is like.

Job fairs will take place:

  • Saturday, Feb. 4, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Houghton Park (6301 Myrtle Ave.)
  • Saturday, Feb. 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., McBride Park (1550 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.)
