Brampton's Seedy Saturday and Garden Show sprouts for 12th year: Explore horticulture in Brampton with activities for kids, a seed swap and more

BRAMPTON, ON (February 20, 2024) - The City of Brampton's Seedy Saturday and Garden Show is returning for a 12th year to kick off the 2024 gardening season. Every March, in partnership with the Brampton Horticultural Society, Brampton residents are invited to this free event to:
  • access gardening resources
  • share, swap and buy seeds
  • enjoy the Seedy Café
  • explore the Kids' Zone
Participants will also hear from gardening experts, including;
  • Carol Pasternak presenting In the Butterfly Garden
  • Paul Zammit presenting Feeding the Garden from the Garden
  • Sean James and Anne Maria presenting From Seed to Soil: Planting and Early Care
  • Shawn Patille presenting Building a Refuge in the Garden

Vendors will be at the event to offer insight, seeds, tools and tips to help participants enhance their gardening skills.
The Seedy Saturday and Garden Show is open to all ages. No matter the gardening skill level, this event will introduce non-gardeners to the world of horticulture and experienced gardeners will have an opportunity to build on their skills.

Gardening is a great physical activity that also supports overall health and well-being.
