Fatal collision on Strandherd Drive: police seeking witnesses

(Ottawa) - The Ottawa Police Service is seeking witnesses to a collision involving a pedestrian that occurred on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

At approximately 9:14 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Longfields Drive and Strandherd Drive in response to a collision involving a driver having struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, but tragically, succumbed to their injuries.

Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of this incident and have not yet spoken to police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Fatal Collision Investigation Unit at 613-236-1222 extension 2345.
